Man Fatally Struck in Crash on Forty Mile Road [Yuba County, CA]
Two Vehicles Strike and Kill Male Pedestrian near Rosser Road
YUBA COUNTY, CA (December 10, 2021) – Friday night, a male pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles in a crash on Forty Mile Road.
The fatal incident occurred around 8:17 p.m., just south of Rosser Road. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.
Investigators later determined that heavy fog in the area and lack of street lights contributed to the crash. Initially, a Toyota pickup-truck first struck the victim, giving him major injuries.
Afterwards, a Chevrolet pick-up did not manage to see the Toyota SUV stopped and rear-ended it, hitting the man for the second time.
Due to the impact of both collisions, the male pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene.
At this time, Yuba County officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the Forty Mile Road pedestrian crash.
