Wendy Aguilar Arrested after Fatal DUI Collision near Heacock Street
MORENO VALLEY, CA (December 9, 2021) – Thursday afternoon, a crash on Alessandro Boulevard killed Alberto and Lydia Agoncillo.
Per reports, the collision happened around 4:00 p.m. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
According to reports, 42-year-old Wendy Aguilar, of Los Angeles was driving a 2002 Acura MDX east at a high rate of speed. There, she struck an eastbound 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander.
As the Outlander turned across westbound lanes into a business complex, the Acura plowed into its passenger side.
The 80-year-old couple inside the Outlander was pronounced dead at the scene, due to the impact of the collision. Officers later identified them as Albert and Lydia Agoncillo.
Moreover, Aguilar was suspected of driving under influence and was later arrested for possible DUI murder, felony DUI and causing great bodily injury. Additionally, she sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Authorities have not yet identified the front-seat passenger inside Aguilar’s vehicle. However, medics transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
