Pedestrian Crash in Apple Valley Left One Fatality on Thanksgiving Night
APPLE VALLEY, CA (December 6, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian crash on Kiowa Road left one person killed on Thanksgiving night.
According to reports, the incident happened around 11:32 p.m., in the south of Sioux Road in the town of Apple Valley. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.
Sheriff’s officials determined that a northbound gold-colored Chevy Equinox on Kiowa Road struck a pedestrian who was walking in the northbound lane. Eventually, the Apple Valley fire protection district firefighters arrived at the scene and declared a pedestrian dead at the scene.
Additionally, the driver remained at the scene after the incident and cooperated with the investigators. At this time, Apple Valley Officials continue to withhold the identity of the deceased victim.
Authorities closed Kiowa Road between the intersection of Caddo Road and Sioux Road for at least five hours to investigate the pedestrian crash.
