FULLERTON, CA (December 6, 2021) – 18-year-old Jacob Robison lost his life after a multi-car collision on 57 Freeway Monday morning.
The incident happened around 4:40 a.m., on northbound 57 Freeway just south of Chapman Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, Robison was driving a gray BMW 328i when he collided into Francisco Martinez, 47, of Anaheim in his 2005 Chevrolet.
Following that, Salvador Gutierrez, 60, of Santa Ana was driving his 2005 Nissan car in the No. 3 lane. There, he rear-ended the immobilized BMW.
The impact pushed Robison’s car into the No. 2 and 3 lanes, where Raul Robles in a 2000 Honda hit the BMW.
Officers responding at the scene declared Robison dead, due to the extent of his condition. Meanwhile, police have no information about the other drivers.
At this time, authorities do not currently believe that drugs or alcohol were factors. Moreover, the events that led to the crash are still unknown. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
