FORT BRAGG, CA (December 2, 2021) – Tuesday morning, two 11-year-old boys were hurt in a pedestrian accident on Oak Street.
Per reports, the boys were “lawfully crossing the street in the crosswalk” around 8:00 a.m. For reasons unknown, a car hit them at the intersection of Oak and Harold Street.

According to preliminary investigations, the driver’s vision was impaired by the sun when he hit the boys. Upon impact, the driver pulled over and cooperated with authorities.
Officers do not believe impairment played a factor. Furthermore, police found “no evidence of criminal negligence” by the driver, but are planning to charge him with an infraction for driving at an unsafe speed.
