Head-On Collision on Interstate 5 Left 1 Dead, 1 Injured

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 22, 2021) – At least one person dead and another one sustained injuries after a head-on crash on Interstate 5.

The accident happened around 3:20 p.m. November 17, along Interstate 5 just north of Highway 46.

According to the CHP, the collision happened under unknown circumstances, but two vehicles were involved.

Responding officers located one person dead at the scene, and another one with unspecified injuries.

Authorities, at this moment, have not released any information about the victims. However, officials closed the area for a few hours for clearing operations.

Bakersfield police are still reviewing the crash for more details. More information will be provided as soon as it is available.
