Three Injured in Multi-Car Collision near Sheffield Drive in Montecito
MONTECITO, CA (November 22, 2021) – At least three people sustained injuries after a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 on Monday afternoon.
The collision occurred around 12:00 p.m., on the northbound lanes of the highway near Sheffield Drive. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.
According to the California Highway Patrol, several cars flipped, including a minivan that rolled several times, for still unknown reasons.
Officers requested multiple flatbeds and tow trucks into the scene to handle the damaged vehicles.
Responding medics transported one person to the hospital, while two others sustained minor injuries.
Furthermore, officials shut the area after cars and debris obstructed many northbound lanes, but it reopened around 1:20 p.m.
