Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision on Jackrabbit Trail Kills Edgar Chamu Martinez
BUCKEYE, AZ (November 18, 2021) – 28-year-old Edgar Chamu Martinez died Tuesday after an auto-pedestrian crash on Jackrabbit Trail.
Authorities discovered a man lying on Jackrabbit Trail near Van Buren Street around 11:00 p.m., that was later identified as Martinez.
According to the Buckeye police, the factors leading up to the collision are unknown but the driver returned to cooperate with officers.
However, the driver is being investigated for possible impairment. Moreover, both directions of the roadway were closed for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, an active investigation is ongoing to determine the reasons for the fatal collision.
