Head-On Crash on Highway 152 Kills 48-Year-Old Driver
GILROY, CA (November 17, 2021) – Gregory Elizondo, 48, of Porterville lost his life Friday in a head-on collision on Highway 152.
The tragic accident occurred on State Route 152 near San Felipe Lake.
According to reports, Elizondo was driving a Toyota Tacoma on the highway when, for unknown reasons, he drifted across the center median and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram.
Officers arrived at the scene and declared Elizondo dead due to the impact of the crash.
Meanwhile, medics rushed the female driver of the Dodge with moderate injuries to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment.
At this time, investigators are unsure as to what caused the driver to veer off the road. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
