Man Killed in Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 99 [Madera County, CA]
Male Victim Fatally Injured in Auto Collision near Avenue 13
MADERA COUNTY, CA (November 15, 2021) – One man lost his life Thursday morning following a tragic rollover crash on Highway 99.
The collision took place around 4:00 a.m., along Highway 99 near Avenue 13. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to California Highway Patrol, the motorist veered off the road and rolled over for unclear reasons. As per officers, he was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected.
Officers on the scene discovered the individual and pronounced him dead. At this time, authorities have not yet disclosed his identification pending notification of next of kin.
Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were shutdown for cleanup and preliminary investigations. Although, the road has since reopened.
Authorities currently believe that drugs or alcohol played a factor, as they discovered alcohol containers in and around the car. However, an active investigation on the crash on Highway 99 remains ongoing.
