Andres Ramirez Orozco Dies in Multi-Car Collision on 7th Street [Fresno, CA]
18-Year-Old Victim Killed in High-Speed Crash near East Shaw Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 12, 2021) – A multi-vehicle collision on 7th Street killed Andres Ramirez Orozco early Monday morning.
Around 1:00 a.m., a VW Jetta and Toyota Camry were heading eastbound on Shaw Avenue from First Street at a high rate of speed. There, a third vehicle pulled out in front of them.
This caused both vehicles to swerve and hit each other, spinning out of control separately afterwards. The Jetta slammed into a tree, while the Camry was found disabled on the eastbound lanes of Shaw Avenue.
Responders pronounced the Jetta driver, identified as 18-year-old Orozco of Clovis, dead at the scene. The unidentified male Camry driver, 29, was uninjured and is cooperating with the police.
The third vehicle, which according to witnesses was a 2000s white Malibu or Impala style vehicle, did not stop.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still ongoing.
In this sorrowful time, the Sweet James team would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Andres Ramirez Orozco.
