Suspect Detained after Hit-and-Run Collision near Becerra Way
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 12, 2021) – Police arrested Alcier Francis Albert after a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian killed Tuesday night.
The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m., when an eastbound dark-colored Infiniti G35X traveled on Marconi Avenue near Becerra Way.
Shortly after, the Infiniti struck a man who was walking near the shoulder while traveling at a high-rate of speed. Due to the impact, the 59-year-old pedestrian died at the scene.
Following the collision, the suspect fled before the authorities arrived without rendering aid to the victim.
Authorities later located and arrested the driver, 27-year-old Alcier Francis Albert, of Carmichael for felony hit-and-run.
At this time, Sacramento Officials continue to investigate the fatal incident.
