One Killed in Vehicle Crash on Highway 99 [Gridley, CA]
Vehicle Crash on Highway 99 Between Semi Truck and Car Left One Fatality
GRIDLEY, CA (November 11, 2021) – A semi truck and a car crash on Highway 99 claimed the life of one person Monday November 8.
The crash happened on Highway 99 at Wright Avenue near Gridley around 10:50 p.m.
According to the CHP, a Chrysler 300 southbound on Highway 99 lost control and spun out counterclockwise into the northbound lane.
Following then, a semi-truck driving northward collided with the Chrysler.
Responding officers declared the man dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the truck driver did not sustain any injuries.
Authorities do not currently believe that drugs or alcohol were factors. However, an active investigation about the crash on Highway 99 remains ongoing.
