Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 12 Left Three Injured, Restaurant Damaged
KENWOOD, CA (November 3, 2021) – Three drivers sustained injuries and damaged a restaurant after a deadly collision on Highway 12 Thursday morning.
The crash took place just after 8 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 12 and Adobe Canyon Road.
According to CHP, a woman traveling east in a Kia Soul used her turn signal and slowed to turn left into Adobe Canyon when she was struck from behind by a woman driving a Saab.
Eventually, the collision forced the Kia into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Chevy Express van.
Consequently, the van tumbled onto its side and into a ditch on the road’s northern border. The Saab proceeded east, colliding with a wall at TIPS Roadside Restaurant.
Moreover, the three drivers were all transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
According to officials, the lady driving the Kia suffered significant injuries, while the other two sustained moderate injuries. There was no one else inside any of the vehicles.
The impact damaged both the wall and the foundation of the structure.
