JBLM Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 Kills Driver
JOINT BASE LEWIS MCCHORD, WA (November 3, 2021) – One driver tragically died Wednesday after a pickup truck and semi truck crash on Interstate 5.
The fatal collision happened just before 7 a.m., October 27, on southbound Interstate 5.
According to the WSP, the pickup driving in the left lane, for reasons unknown, crossed both lanes and collided with the semi-trailer, which was halted in the right shoulder.
After hitting with the trailer, the pickup also collided with another vehicle.
Paramedics pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead on the scene. There were no additional injuries recorded, per officials.
In addition, authorities blocked roads near the crash for cleaning, although they have now reopened.
At this time, WSP continue to investigate the deadly collision.
