Los Angeles Pedestrian Crash Left One Fatality after Car Careens into Yard
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 1, 2021) – A speeding car claimed the life of one person in a pedestrian crash on 101 Freeway Thursday morning.
The fatal incident happened just after 3:30 a.m. at the 1800 block of Vine Street.
According to the authorities, a driver coming off the southbound 101 Freeway lost control on the Vine Street off-ramp for unknown reasons.
Afterwards, the car struck the curb and crashed into some trees in the backyard of an apartment building.
Unfortunately, a person in the yard was struck and killed. However, it remains unclear if the victims lived in the apartment building or was homeless.
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the driver to a hospital with serious injuries.
In the end, officials issued a SigAlert at the southbound Vine Street off-ramp while police investigated the scene.
