Charles Harter Killed in Tow-Truck Accident on Curtis Road [Tucson, AZ]
Motorcyclist Dead after Slamming into Tow-Truck near Davis Avenue
TUCSON, AZ (November 2, 2021) – Monday evening, 62-year-old Charles Harter was killed in a tow-truck accident on Curtis Road.
Pima County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene just before 7:30 p.m., near Shannon Road.
Deputies say 62-year-old Harter was operating a motorcycle, heading east on Curtis Road. For reasons unknown, he slammed into the rear tow bar of a tow-truck.
Medics arrived and performed life-saving measures on the severely injured rider. However, he was later pronounced dead at the scene due to the extent of his condition.
At this time, authorities have not yet released the identity of the tow-truck driver.
Traffic was closed on Curtis Road between Davis Avenue and Carapan Avenue while investigations took place. More information will be provided once available.
