Fatal Bicycle Collision on Dickenson Ferry Road in Merced
MERCED, CA (November 2, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a crash along Gurr Road that left one bicyclist killed Thursday morning.
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at Dickenson Ferry Road and Gurr Road. Officers responded to the scene shortly after.
Due to the impact of the collision, first responders pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene. However, the events leading up to the crash remain unknown.
At this time, investigators are working to identify the victim and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In addition, Merced Officials closed part of the roadway as they continued their investigation.
