1 Killed, 1 Hurt in High-Speed Crash on Elverta Road [Elverta, CA]
1 Hospitalized after Fatal Collision near Cherry Island Golf Course
ELVERTA, CA (November 2, 2021) – Wednesday morning, one person was killed and another was hurt in a high-speed crash on Elverta Road.
The accident occurred around 2:00 a.m., on Elverta Road, near the Cherry Island Golf Course and Gibson Ranch. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.
According to CHP, the driver of a truck began traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the driver struck the gravel shoulder, and veered into a pole.
Due to the impact of the collision, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. However, officers withheld his name pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, medics took another other man in his 20s to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The surrounding area on Elverta Road was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened to traffic.
At this time, the officers are still currently investigating the deadly high-speed crash.
