Driver Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 395 [Victorville, CA]

1 Hospitalized after Auto Collision near La Mesa Road in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, CA (October 28, 2021) – Early Wednesday morning, a driver was seriously injured in a head-on crash on Highway 395.

Officers received dispatch calls around 12:58 a.m., on the highway near La Mesa Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a silver Honda CR-V and a white Freightliner. Eventually, investigators determined that the southbound Honda crossed the double yellow lines for unknown reasons.

As a result, the vehicle collided head-on with the northbound Freightliner.

Medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the Honda driver to a trauma center out of the area for major injuries. There has been no update on their current condition.

Victorville officials closed down US Highway 395 between La Mesa Road and Luna Road for several hours to investigate. Although, the road has since reopened to traffic.
