Victim Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident on Otay Mesa Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 26, 2021) – An unnamed driver tragically died after a broadside collision on Otay Mesa Road last Wednesday.

The accident happened in the 9400 block of Otay Mesa Road around 8:00 a.m., on October 20.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the victim was driving along the road, when for unknown reasons, another car smashed into his vehicle.

Authorities arrived and located the victim dead at the scene. CHP did not disclose the victim’s identity until next of kin is notified.

At this time, officials have no other leads about the fatal crash.

CHP did not considered drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident. However, an active investigation is currently underway.
