Damian Cazares Dies in Crash on South Atlantic Boulevard [Monterey, CA]

Deadly Collision on South Atlantic Boulevard Kills 18-Year-Old Man

MONTEREY, CA (October 25, 2021)  18-year-old Damian Cazares died and another was hurt in a crash on South Atlantic Boulevard Wednesday.

The tragic crash happened around 12:09 a.m., in the 100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a car carrying two individuals slammed into a property housing a spa that was closed at the time.

Responding officers located Damian Cazares, 18, of Bloomington dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics transported another individual with critical injuries to a nearby hospital. However,  authorities have not yet received any update on the victim’s current condition.

An active inquiry is still continuing at this moment. Authorities will update more information when it becomes available.
