Two Children Injured in DUI Accident near Laurel Street in Chico

CHICO, CA (October 22, 2021) – Friday evening, 31-year-old Andrew Anderson was arrested after a DUI crash on East 16th Street.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Dispatchers responded to the scene near the intersection of 16th and Laurel Street.

Upon arrival, authorities located the vehicle with severe front-end damage near the intersection. Operating the vehicle was a convicted and recently bailed out felon with a gun and two children inside.

Due to the impact, the two children inside the vehicle suffered injuries.

In addition, responding officers arrested the driver for DUI, child endangerment, and committing a felony while out on bail.

Later, authorities booked Anderson into Butte County Jail.
