54-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Ygnacio Valley
WALNUT CREEK, CA (October 20, 2021) – 54-year-old Adam Kao of Walnut Creek lost his life Friday after a vehicle and pedestrian crash in Ygnacio Valley.
The accident happened around 7:00 a.m., on October 15, along the busy area of Oak Grove and Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek City.
According to the CHP, Kao crashed his vehicle into a sound wall for reasons unknown. He then exited the vehicle and went into the street, where a passing vehicle struck him.
Responding officers pronounced Kao dead at the scene, due to the extent of his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
At this time, authorities have not released further information. However, an active investigation is underway.
