One Killed, One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 59 [Merced County, CA]
1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized after Multi-Car Collision on Sandy Mush Road
MERCED COUNTY, CA (October 20, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash on Highway 59 left one driver dead and another one injured Saturday night.
The fatal incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., in the area of Highway 59 and Sandy Mush Road. Emergency crews responded to the area shortly after.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound sedan crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with a pickup truck.
Due to the impact of the collision, the driver of the sedan died at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported that pickup driver to a nearby hospital in Modesto with unspecified injuries.
At this time, the officers are still currently investigating the two-vehicle crash on Highway 59.
