SUV Crash on State Route 125 Sends 2 to Hospital
BONITA, CA (October 7, 2021) – Last Saturday afternoon, an SUV crash on State Route 125 near Bonita sent two individuals to the hospital.
The accident took place at around 2:20 p.m. on October 3, along the stretch of State Route 125.
According to witnesses, the male motorist was traveling between the No. 1 and 2 lanes east when he veered off the roadway and went up the right shoulder.
The car went roughly 40 ft. before crashing at the base of an overpass and rolling back down the highway, blocking the No. 2 lane.
Other motorists, including a CalFire battalion chief, pulled over to assist, releasing an injured female passenger and putting her down on the road.
Responding officers searched the car and found marijuana and prescription pills.
Meanwhile, paramedics took the woman with serious injuries and the man with moderate injuries to the hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, the man said that the SUV had bad tires and something had happened that caused him to lose control. However, an active investigation is still ongoing.
When behind the wheel, it is important to pay attention to the road. Do not engage in distracting activities, such as texting or eating, while driving. Always keep an eye out for possible road hazards and stay on guard.
