28-Year-Old Vladimir Pineda-Gomez Died in Multi-Car Collision on I-80
HERCULES, CA (October 6, 2021) – Sunday morning October 3, Vladimir Pineda-Gomez, died in a multiple car pileup on I-80 in Hercules.
The crash took place just before 1:25 a.m. westbound I-80, west of State Route 4, as per report.
According to a preliminary statement from the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord driven by Gomez collided with the rear of a Toyota Yaris carrying two individuals, spinning both vehicles out.
Additionally, after becoming stalled in one of the lanes, an incoming Lexus RX350 hit the Honda on the side.
Moreover, Hercules cops arrived to shut down the adjacent highway ramps for two hours as detectives gathered evidence.
Meanwhile, the cause of the accident is under active investigation
