A Tragic Head-On Accident on Amigos Way Killed 1 and Injured 1 Other
FALLBROOK, CA (October 6, 2021) – A head-on accident on Amigos Way early Friday morning killed one person and wounded another.
The tragic accident happened sometime before 10:00 a.m., on October 1st near Amigos Way and East Alvarado Street in Fallbrook.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 41-year-old Fallbrook male driving a Chevrolet Cruze sedan drove from the eastbound lane into the westbound lane of East Alverado Street, colliding with a woman driving a Toyota Tacoma.
Officers on the scene pronounced the male driver dead. However, authorities did not reveal his identity at this time.
Meanwhile, medics took a 42-year-old Fallbrook woman from Tacoma to Palomar Medical Center with moderate injuries.
California Highway Patrol stated that alcohol might be a contributing factor in the collision but an active investigation remains ongoing.
