PLACER COUNTY, CA (September 29, 2021) – A driver and a passenger sustained injuries Thursday afternoon following a partial head-on crash on Fiddyment Road.
The CHP said that both the driver and passenger of an SUV suffered significant injuries after their vehicle drifted out of the southbound lane into the northbound lane, and partially colliding with a Peterbilt truck head-on.
Emergency crews rescued both the driver and the passenger after being trapped inside the SUV. At this time, authorities have not revealed their name and current conditions.
Moreover, officials temporarily closed the Fiddyment Road in both directions for cleanup.
CHP investigators are now looking into the possible cause of the crash. Drugs were suspected as factors in the crash, officers said.
