Deadly Plane Collision Results in Fatality in Page

PAGE, AZ (September 23, 2021) – Wednesday night, Jim Petersen was killed and Uta Petersen was injured in a deadly plane crash.

Coconino County Sheriff’s officials received calls around 9:15 p.m., from the Page Airport about a small plane that had crashed while on approach. However, the events leading up are currently unclear.

Despite life-saving efforts, Jim Petersen was pronounced dead. In addition, his lone passenger, Uta was transported to a hospital in Utah. The passenger was said to be suffering from undisclosed injuries.

No further details have been provided to the public. At this time, an active investigation is still underway.

The ages and hometowns of the deceased victims have not been made available.
