Woman Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash near Taylor Boulevard; Garrett Young Arrested
MILLBRAE, CA (September 23, 2021) – Early Monday morning, 23-year-old Garrett Young was arrested following a hit-and-run collision.
Around 12:21 a.m., police responded to the scene at 513 Broadway. San Mateo Police say that officers were doing a business check in the area when they located the unresponsive woman.
Reports indicate that the driver of a grey BMW SUV struck the woman at a high rate of speed. The driver then ran over the victim several times.
Paramedics arrived and transported the severely injured woman to San Francisco General Hospital. She underwent immediate surgery, due to the extent of her injuries.
After reviewing surveillance footage from a local business, authorities were able to locate and arrest Garrett Young for attempted murder.
Young was later booked into Maguire Correctional Facility.
