Scooter Rider Killed in Accident on Pershing Drive in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 21, 2021) – Late Saturday night, 34-year-old Jonathan Sepulveda was struck and killed on Pershing Drive.
The accident occurred around 11:00 p.m., on Pershing Drive near the Balboa Park Golf Course, as per report.
According to the authorities, a 17-year-old girl driving a sedan struck the scooter rider while he was inside the bike lane.
Due to the impact of the crash, the scooter rider was pronounced dead. Police did not disclose what prompted the girl to strike the man, or if she was detained or cited.
In addition, the scooter was still stuck beneath the Mazda, which had a shattered windshield.
According to San Diego police, the crash is still being investigated. Once available, more details will be provided.
