Bicyclist Killed in Fatal Crash in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 21, 2021) – Friday night a 29-year-old bicyclist was killed in a fatal collision on Perlite Way.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:58 p.m., at the intersection of West Lake Mead Parkway and Perlite Way, as stated by the report.
According to early findings, a blue Alfa Romeo SUV was heading eastbound on West Lake Mead Parkway, nearing the junction of Perlite Way.
The Alfa Romeo driver then changed lanes and entered into the cycling lane, colliding with the biker. Due to the extent of his injuries, the bicyclist was later pronounced dead.
At this time, impairment and speed are not factors.
In addition, officers say the rider and his bicycle lacked any visible reflector or lighting equipment. In addition, the biker was not wearing a helmet.
