Driver Died in Deadly Collision on Crazy Horse Canyon Road [Salinas, CA]
Head-On Collision on Crazy Horse Canyon Road Kills 43-Year-Old
SALINAS, CA (September 20, 2021) – On Monday, a 43-year-old Salinas resident died in a head-on collision on Crazy Horse Canyon Road.
According to CHP, the crash occurred when the driver of a Nissan attempted to pass a Peterbilt truck on the road.
As a result, the Nissan collided head-on with a 2005 Toyota Sienna traveling in the opposite direction. The Nissan collided with the side of the Peterbilt’s first trailer as a result of the impact.
Paramedics rushed the driver of the Toyota to a hospital but later died as a result of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the four occupants of the Nissan were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
At this time, CHP said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
