SANTA ROSA, CA (September 17, 2021) Emergency crews responded to a vehicle collision on Highway 12 that injured two people.

According to the reports, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at the 6200 block of eastbound Highway 12 near Melita Road.

Moreover, police said that a man in a pick-up truck crashed head-on into a woman driving an SUV at unknown speeds.

In addition, first responders were able to extract and transport both drivers to the hospital for treatment. The man was said to have sustained moderate injuries while the woman was critically hurt.

Furthermore, the CHP issued a SigAlert around 2:45 p.m. as crews worked to clear the roadway.
