Rollover Crash on SR 78 Kills 72-Year-Old Man and Injures Other

RAMONA, CA (September 17, 2021) – Police are investigating a rollover crash on Sr 78 that killed one man and injured another.

Officers responded to the incident around 8:10 p.m., on the westbound lanes of SR 78 near Rancho Santa Teresa Drive.

Furthermore, reports stated a 72-year-old man driving a Chevy pickup truck lost control of his vehicle, causing him to rollover down an embankment.

Police said the driver was ejected from the crash and died at the scene, despite the life-saving efforts of paramedics.

Moreover the passenger in the truck, a 32-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital where he is in an unknown condition

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for an unknown duration. However, the road has since reopened.

The fatal rollover crash on SR78 is currently under active investigation.
