56-Year-Old Driver Killed in Semi-Truck Collision near Hillcrest Avenue

ANTIOCH, CA (September 16, 2021) – Last Friday afternoon, 56-year-old Eqbal Khan was killed in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 4.

The collision happened just before 1:40 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the highway. Officers arrived near Hillcrest Avenue shortly after.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Khan was driving a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe on the highway when he collided with a white Infiniti G37.

As a result of the impact, Khan lost control of the Chevy and slammed into a guardrail. There, the Chevy was also hit by a semi-truck and a Toyota Corolla.

As per the CHP, drugs and alcohol were not considered to be factors in the accident.

Meanwhile, the crash is still under investigation.
