Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Cement Truck along State Route 587

SUN LAKES, AZ (September 15, 2021) – Monday morning, one person was killed in a pedestrian collision on State Route 587 involving a cement truck.

The crash occurred just after 5:00 a.m., on State Route 587 near Casa Blanca. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the route was blocked in both directions after the collision. Although, the lanes reopened at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Moreover, no more additional information has been released to the public at this time.

However, the fatal pedestrian collision on State Route 587 is still under investigation.
