SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (September 15, 2021) – Saturday, 79-year-old Bryan Griffiths was involved in a collision that killed a 17-year-old.

The collision took place at the intersection of Highland Drive and Highway 1, as stated by the report.

Moreover, the teenager was said to have been struck by a pickup-truck while making a left turn on a green light.

According to CHP, the 17-year-old was stopped at the intersection in a 1990 Volvo 240. There, Griffiths failed to stop at the red light and slammed into the side of the teen’s car in his Ford F-150.

Additionally, the Volvo was pushed into another vehicle stopped at the red light.

Griffiths and the teen driver were both sent to hospitals for treatment. However, the 17-year-old was pronounced dead by emergency crews.

Furthermore, the driver of the third vehicle also suffered from minor injuries. She was later described as a 50-year-old Cambria woman.

At this time, the investigation is still underway.
