Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 65 near Wheatland
YUBA COUNTY, CA (September 14, 2021) – Late Friday night, police received reports of a man fatally struck by a passing car on Highway 65.
A 2016 Ford Fusion heading northbound on Highway 65 north of Wheatland when it struck a man in an unlit area of the road shortly after 11:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
When first responders came, they attempted to provide aid, but he succumbed to his injuries and died at the site.
Moreover, the driver stayed on the site and assisted the CHP with investigations. There was no evidence that drugs or alcohol played a role.
The identity of the man has not been released to the public at this time.
Meanwhile, the collision is under going an active investigation.
