Fatal Street Racing Collision on Mesa Drive [Oceanside, CA]
1 Dead, 2 Injured in Street Race Crash in Oceanside
OCEANSIDE, CA (September 14, 2021) – Friday night on September 10, one person was killed in a street racing collision on Mesa Drive.
The deadly crash occurred around 7:40 p.m., in the 4300 block of Mesa Drive, as stated by the report.
According to police, a Dodge Charger swerved into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Mini Cooper. As a result, the Dodge rolled over several times, and went 350 feet down an embankment.
Police arrived and discovered an unresponsive man inside the Charger, and two badly injured people outside the Mini Cooper.
When paramedics came, they declared the Dodge driver dead. The two victims who suffered injuries in the Mini Cooper were flown to a hospital by air ambulance.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details about the racing collision on Mesa Drive remains ongoing.
