Multi-Vehicle Crash on Orange Avenue Sends 4 People to Hospital
CHULA VISTA, CA (September 14, 2021) – At least 4 people were hospitalized Saturday following a multi-vehicle crash on Orange Avenue.
The accident occurred last Saturday in the area of Orange and Melrose Avenue.
According to the CHP, the male driver of a white truck became distracted while driving westbound on Orange and ran through a red light, slamming into a red Toyota.
Four additional vehicles that were stopped at the light were also involved in the collision.
Medics rushed a 12-year-old boy, that suffered a compound wrist fracture, to the hospital for treatment.
At the same time, authorities sent the remaining victims to local hospitals for treatment.
In addition, officers closed westbound Orange at Melrose Ave for more than 90 minutes following the crash. An active investigation to determine further details is underway.
