Four-Vehicle Collision on Highway 4 Takes the Life of One Man
ANTIOCH, CA (September 13, 2021) – Friday afternoon, September 10, a 56-year-old man was killed in a four-vehicle collision on Highway 4.
The crash took place at 1:38 p.m. on the westbound lanes of Highway 4, just east of Hillcrest Avenue. Dispatchers arrived to the scene shortly after.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Infiniti G37 collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe and a large truck. In addition, reports indicate that the Infiniti was traveling between the two vehicles.
The Chevrolet driver lost control of his car, eventually colliding with the guardrail. The Chevy was then hit by a semi truck, as well as a Toyota Corolla.
Moreover, the Chevrolet driver, a 56-year-old man, was killed at the scene while the other drivers escaped without major injuries.
Alcohol or narcotics do not appear to have played a role in the crash, according to investigators.
Meanwhile, the four-vehicle collision on Highway 4 is still being investigated.
