Nehemiah Brown Fatally Struck by Train on Meekland Avenue [Hayward, CA]

HAYWARD, CA (September 9, 2021) – Thursday morning on September 2, Nehemiah Brown was fatally struck by a train on Meekland Avenue.
Around 7:10 a.m., Brown was struck by Capital Corridor train No. 524 that was heading south from San Jose to Sacramento.
Officers say Brown was walking on the railroad tracks for unknown reasons when he was hit by the train. Due to the impact of the collision, 30-year-old Nehemiah Brown of Los Angeles, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition, authorities confirmed that none of the 13 passengers or crew members who were on the train sustained injuries.
Investigators say the train was delayed for almost two hours while officials worked to investigate and clear the scene.
At this point, further details surrounding the incident remain unclear. Meanwhile, the crash is still being investigated.
