Vehicle Crash in a Koreatown Homeless Encampment Left Several People Injured
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 9, 2021) – Several people left injured after a vehicle crashed into a Koreatown homeless encampment on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at around 6 A.M. in the 500 block of South Virgil Avenue.
According to the police, a southbound Dodge Dart crashed into an eastbound silver Toyota Corolla on 5th Street.
In addition, authorities also pointed out the three individuals inside the Dart were being uncooperative during the investigation.
Eventually, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded at the scene and extracted one person trapped underneath one of the vehicles.
Afterwards, rescue personnel transported all four victims to local hospitals. Three in four patients remained in fair condition, while the other one was in a moderate condition.
At this time, the identities of the involved parties in the crash in the Koreatown Homeless Encampment continues to be unavailable.
The Los Angeles Officials are investigating the incident.
