Angelica Rubio and Nataly Diaz Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 15 [Las Vegas, NV]
2 Women Dead after Fatal Collision near Jean in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 7, 2021) – Monday morning on August 30, Angelica Rubio and Nataly Diaz were killed in a semi-truck accident on Interstate 15.
The crash took place just before 7:00 a.m., at mile marker 12 near Jeans, as stated by the report.
According to the authorities, a northbound Honda Accord struck the rear of an 18-wheeler semi-truck. As a result of the impact, the Honda ended up in a nearby dirt embankment.
Shortly after, the Honda driver was pronounced dead on scene. The passenger was taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas where she later died.
The Clark County coroner’s office identified the deceased victims as 30-year-old Angelica Rubio and 15-year-old Nataly Diaz. Both victims were from Las Vegas.
Medical examiners say Rubio died of blunt force injuries while Diaz died of blunt head injury.
In addition, the driver of the semi-truck remained unharmed.
The northbound lanes of I-15 reopened just before noon.
