Fatal Head-On Collision Road 192 Kills 2 Delano Men
TULARE COUNTY, CA (September 3, 2021) – On Wednesday morning, two Delano men were killed in a head-on collision on Road 192.
Shortly before 7:00 a.m., officers received a call about a crash on Road 192, just north of Avenue 104, southwest of Porterville.
According to the CHP, a 25-year-old man and a 78-year-old man from Delano were driving north in a Chevy Cavalier when it drifted into the southbound lanes and struck head-on with a Chevy Silverado.
Both men in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the collision. According to the CHP, it was not immediately clear why the vehicle entered oncoming traffic lanes.
Meanwhile, medics rushed the Silverado’s driver to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with minor injuries.
At this time, authorities have not yet released the identity of the victims.
However, an active investigation is underway.
