19-Year-old Woman Killed after Suffering Flat Tire near Fair Oaks Avenue
SUNNYVALE, CA (September 2, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, 19-year-old Briana Jones was pronounced dead after a multi-car crash on Highway 101.
Officers responded to the scene near Fair Oaks Avenue around 3:10 a.m., after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
Investigators say Jones was driving a 1998 Honda Civic when she crashed into the center median and suffered a flat tire. As a result, the disabled Honda was then struck by a 2020 Honda Civic and a 2018 Subaru WRX.
Due to the impact of the collision, paramedics pronounced Jones dead at the scene.
In addition, the other two drivers suffered injuries and were transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for further treatment.
