Pedestrian Killed after Being Hit by Multiple Cars on Interstate 5

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 1, 2021) Thursday morning, an unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck by multiple cars after crossing Interstate 5 in San Diego.

The incident took place on the northbound I-5, south of State Route 15 around 4:50 a.m. on August 26.

According to the CHP, the unidentified person had allegedly rushed from the right shoulder into the center divider before being struck.

At this moment, officials have not provide her identity pending notification of kin.

The CHP stated it was unclear whether the car came to halt or how many vehicles collided with the pedestrian.

An active investigation is ongoing. More information will be provided to the public once available.
