Drunk Driver Strikes Police Car, Kills Pedestrian, in DUI Crash on East Alisal Street
KION, CA (September 1, 2021) – Police are investigating a DUI crash on East Alisal involving a patrol vehicle that killed 1 pedestrian.
Initially, officers responded to a pedestrian-auto collision in the area of East Alisal Street and Wood Street.
Afterwards, a different vehicle crashed into the patrol car as the authorities conducted an investigation of the first crash.
As a result, Kion Official ended up arresting two drivers and charged them for driving under the influence.
In addition, one pedestrian was fatally struck amidst the chaos. However, their identity has not yet been released.
At this time, police are still investigating both DUI crashes.
